Whatever you do, don't get Holland Park
Designs from Rooihuiskraal to provide
you with Built in Cupboards. A brief
summary of the experience
1) Drawings of the interior designs were
never available for us to view resulting
in incorrect designs being installed.
2) Job has taken over 3 months (for 3
standard cupboards) and still not
complete.
3) Cupboard interiors which were 5-10cm
too small for the shell were installed
and were going to be left as such until
I complained.
4) Door's were hinged so that they could
only open 60 degrees and then I was told
this was due to my wall’s not being
straight.
5) One of the doors was assembled and
hung while it was 20cm to narrow for the
frame.
5) My wooden floors were scratched
during the installation despite
guarantees from company they would not
be.
6) Staff arrived for work around 10-11am
each day and knocked off at 4pm. In the
last month they have generally been
arriving after 1pm and leaving around
3pm.
7)Johan the owner of Hollard Park
Designs is uncontactable before 9:30am
and after 4pm in the afternoon (just
never answers his phone).
8) During the first week of installation
we had two guys at our home thereafter
Johan sent them out on other jobs and we
had piecemeal staff for the following
21/2 months, guys who often had no idea
what to do or what had been done.
9) There was no communication between
Johan and his staff. We would discuss
issues we wanted done/changed with Johan
and then his staff would arrive on site
and not be aware of what was discussed.
10) During this entire process I have
been inundated with empty promises, lies
and excuses.

Michelle Redellinghuis, Apiesdoring 7, Randpark Ridge. Installation: 1. All plan were on site everyday. The installers had to use them to install the units. Everthing was installed that was chosen by the client. 2.This was no standard job. There was 5 units in total and they all had to be customed to fit in uneven floor and very scew walls. We used a levels to point out these problems, but was not told to stop the installation. The contract was signed just before the easter holidays. There is a set 20 working day wait period before the work commences, espesialy beacuse it was a custom job. Our company never broke contract. 3.The one cupboard, had a top and bottom fixed sheld that was the wrong size. I did point it out that the factory would have it ready the next day, for us to swap it. 4. We use a 50mm wide aluminium frame for the sliding doors. The addational door we made for the hinged door was given the same frame to matche the rest of the sliding door. Unfortunatlu the doors did struggle to ope becuase it wa catching on the wall. My team did replace the scrathed frame, turned the door around and reset the hinges. the door was working perfectly. 5. My team did make a scrath in the one room and i did offer to pay for the repairs. We used thick plastic to work on. We did notice later on, when the other contractors came in that they did not put as much care in protecting the floors as we did. They were not contracted by me but the client themselfs. 6. We do not have set workong times unless orginised between the client and myself. 7. I am the owner and all so one of the sales team leaders. Attending meetings and seeing clients usally takes place early in the mornings. I allways reply to emails or return calls as soon as we have complted the meetings. 8.The client had 4 installers onsite. Two that istalled and fitted the structure's and two that built the sliding doors. Every person on site had the knolledge and instructioons to do what they had too. 9. The same people went to site everyday, so instructions never changed. They all were clear on what had to be done. 10. We dealt with all request form the client. Installing extra shelving in the one unit, after the layout was done. Fitted the alarm boxes and antenna's. Upgraded the two hinged doors to look like sliding doors. Everthing that the client pointed out was checked and done. My teams and company give our best to each and every client and that is why we do get reverals from our jobs. We keep to our contracts and give our clients the best service we possibly can.

This is a disgrunttled client. First off it not standard cupboards. Everything was made to fit into those scew area's. The cleint did order over the the easter holidays and i did clearly explain the time frames involved. I did offer to show the client what was fault with her wooden floors , but being a engineer she did not want any off it. Sorry she had to post such rubbish. Johan van Wyk
