No customer focus at Identity

I bought a pair of work shorts at Identity at The Glen last Thursday. I did not wear the pants but had taken the swing tag off. As I was about to iron the pants, I saw a line that went across the front of the right leg, a clear factory fault. I went to Identity this afternoon to exchange it.

I spent over half an hour and was told by the floor manager, Thandi that the area manager needs to assess the pants and make a decision as to whether they would be exchanged or not as they don't have pants with factory faults. I mean really, the pants are still new, never been worn before and this is the crap they give me.

I don't even want the pants anymore as I had bought them for a specific occasion and have had to get another outfit. Who would buy pants and then take a ruler and a marker and draw a straight line on the leg? Only a moron working at Identity at The Glen. I hope the complaints department follows up on this complaint. I just want a refund and I will have no further dealings with these people as they can't think and have no idea what customer service is.
