My wife and I have paid a joining fee in
November/December 2010 to join privately
on Premier membership. I have started a
new work where Discovery Medical Aid is
compulsory and I want to go onto
Vitality and use Virgin Active. This was
the mail responses from Virgin Active's
Chanelle:
Thank you for your email.
You are unfortunately going to have to
pay the joining fee as this is a
requirement from Vitality. A public
membership and Vitality membership are
not related in any way. If you want to
benefit from the Vitality discounts you
will have to pay the R735.00 joining fee
each.

I contacted Discovery and they said this
is a desission that Virgin Active has
made and not controlled by Discovery. So
she LIED in the mail. When I tried to
Cancel this was the responce:
Please be advised that you are still in
the initial period of your Virgin Active
membership and will thus have to pay a
30% cancellation fee of R431.00 for
yourself to cancel the membership.

Why pay the joining fee again if I am
already a member? At least discoiunt
it!!
