I purchased a Coricraft lounge suite on 09/04/2008 and took delivery of it sometime in June 2008. At the time of the purchase, I was told that my guarantee on the base was 10 years which means that my guarantee expires in in 2018. On 11/04/2016 at 10:30, I called Coricraft in Jhb. to advise them that my one couch felt like the base was broken as it sunk in the middle. I spoke to a lady by the name of Liwa who advised me that Botha, their furniture inspector could only come to my premises today, 19/04/2016. At the time of my initial call on 11/04/2016, I also advised Liwa that as I work full day, I could only be home by 15:00. Liwa confirmed my details and confirmed the appointment.

On 21/04/2016, I called Coricraft and spoke to a lady by the name of Kgomotso. On giving my details to Kgomotso, she advised me that Botha would call me an hour before he came and would confirm the time that he would be at my house to inspect my couch. Kgomotso also confirmed that I requested the appointment to be no earlier than 15:00. At 15:23, I called Coricraft again and spoke to Liwa who advised me that she would call Botha to find out what time he would be at my house. Needless to say, Liwa never called.

On Wednesday, 04/05/2016, I received a phone call from Coricraft’s Customer Service division. The lady I spoke to was profusely apologetic and we arranged that Coricraft would collect my Santorini couch on Friday, 06/05/2016. As I work in Sandton and only get home between 15H30 and 15:45, we arranged for Coricraft to collect my couch just after 16H00. Needless to say, Coricraft never arrived to fetch my couch and I never received a phone call.

I found Coricraft’s CEO’s name, Kevin Utian, and sent him a message on his Facebook page on 03/05/2016 at 17:06. I sent Kevin another message on Friday 06/05/2016 at 17:24. Needless to say, I have still not heard from Coricraft.
